No sitting through sessions that don’t matter. Just the right people, real conversations, useful ideas and two days designed to feel different.
We’ve spent 3 years building this in Edinburgh, with editions in Manchester and Bristol along the way. In January, it continues in London.

What to expect
No stage full of strangers talking at you. With only one stream of education, our format is built around discussion and skips the overwhelm. You’ll leave with ideas you can actually use, not just notes you’ll never revisit.
The best conversations at most events happen by accident, in the gaps between sessions. We build the whole thing around making those conversations happen on purpose, through a mix of touch points – roundtables, mini workshops, team activities, wellbeing sessions – plus plenty of unstructured time to chat over lunch. It’s informal by design.
Nothing here is forced. If the surface level is enough for you, that’s fine – you’re not obligated to sit through every discussion. But if something resonates, there’s always a way to go further and work out how it applies to you.
Walking into a room of strangers and hoping you bump into the right person is a lot to ask of anyone. We don’t leave it to chance – our team are there throughout to make personal introductions.
Numbers are kept deliberately limited. You’ll be surrounded by people at a similar stage, wrestling with similar problems, which is exactly what makes a good introduction possible in the first place. You’ll leave having made two or three real connections — not two hundred hollow ones.
Ask anyone who’s been before, this isn’t a box-ticking CPD day. It’s the kind of two days you’re still talking about a week later: the session that shifted how you think about something, the person you met over lunch, the idea you can’t quite let go of. It’s the event people plan their year around.

Claire Derrick, Principal of The Event Academy will take you through a lively, hands-on session all on behaviour profiling.
Learn all about your working and communication styles, along with how adapting your behaviour shapes collaboration.
Events should be places where everyone feels safe, yet women continue to experience harassment, intimidation and harm in professional and social spaces.
Anna MacGregor from Safer Spaces will explore how the MICE industry can move beyond simply responding to incidents, and instead build safer events through better prevention, reporting and collaboration. She’ll examine how the data and insight our sector already holds could, when used responsibly and lawfully, help identify repeat perpetrators and support appropriate authorities, potentially preventing harm to other women beyond our own events.
Because making our events safer isn’t just about protecting the people in the room. It’s about using our collective influence to help create safer communities.
In the events industry, having a high level of Emotional Intelligence (EI) is your supreme superpower. It’s a set of psychological competencies that enable you to perceive, understand, express, and control your own emotions and to interpret and respond appropriately to the emotions of others – such as clients, competitors and colleagues.
EI is a key factor for fulfilment in your personal life, and is indispensable for professional success in any branch of events. In this session, Dr Rob Davidson from MICE Knowledge will explore the vital role of EI in our industry, what you can do to boost your own level of EI, and how you can use it to future-proof your career against the advancements of Artificial Intelligence in events management.
As expectations around accessibility continue to evolve, event organisers have an opportunity to create more inclusive experiences that benefit every attendee.
In this session, Andy Williamson from Welcome Brain, and Sarah McGovern from Seren Events will explore the practical steps taken to achieve Gold Neuro-Inclusive Accreditation for a major association conference, from accessible communications and content delivery through to sensory-friendly spaces, staff training and delegate support services. Through real-world examples and lessons learned, they will demonstrate how small, considered changes can have a significant impact on delegate experience, engagement and wellbeing, while showing that inclusivity doesn’t have to come at a significant cost.

I met with venues and was able to have real conversations rather than just the elevator pitch in 6mins. For me what made the event memorable was connecting with industry folks who share similar challenges/experiences. The boutique size of the event allowed this to happen easier than the larger events.
Turn up with an open mind and just dive into conversations. With some networking events and trade shows, I have felt that you need to arrange introductions and book meetings ahead of time to get the value out of them. This didn’t feel necessary at EXPERIENCEit. It felt like a natural environment for authentic, spontaneous connections.

EXPERIENCEit at Brewhemia totally lived up to the hype! It’s exactly what networking should be; great people, good chats, and plenty of new connections. Moving from an exhibition centre to a bar made it way more relaxed and fun!

The two days takes place across three venues – day 1 begins in the Kings Cross area (workshop venue TBC) with the networking dinner at Rotunda. Day 2 is hosted at Everyman at The Whiteley.
Access to the full event is £195 + VAT, and day 2 only is £150 + VAT.
That’s rather the point. Our format is designed to make sure you leave knowing people, not just having sat near them.
